WyldTyle Word Lists

Every list on these pages is built from the dictionary WyldTyle actually checks your words against, not copied from a Scrabble site. That matters because WyldTyle plays with a 22-letter alphabet: the dice never roll J, Q, X, or Z, so a general-purpose word list is full of entries you can never use here.

The game validates against a public-domain English lexicon of 47,796 words of two to seven letters, the lengths of the eight slots on your board. Each word below is shown with its point value, so you can see at a glance which ones are worth chasing and which are merely worth knowing.

How to use these lists

You will not memorise nine hundred three-letter words, and you do not need to. The lists earn their keep in three situations:

Which words count

A word is playable if it appears in the game dictionary, is between two and seven letters long, and uses only the 22 letters the dice can produce. The dictionary is the ENABLE list, a public-domain lexicon used by many word games, with the J, Q, X, and Z entries removed because they can never be spelled. It includes plurals, verb forms, and a fair number of obscure words. If a word validates in the game, it appears on these pages, with one exception: a short list of slurs and profanity is valid in play but is not displayed here.
