WyldTyle Guides
WyldTyle looks like a luck game, and the dice do have a say. But every turn asks you three questions: which roll to call, where to place two letters, and what to keep in reserve. These guides answer them with actual numbers from the game's dice and dictionary rather than folk wisdom.

Choosing Your Roll: Consonants or Vowels?
A board needs about 14 vowels in 38 letters. Here's what that means for the roll you call each turn.
-
How WyldTyle Scoring Works
Letter values, the Wyld Pyle bonus, what a typical board scores, and the theoretical maximum.
-
Wild Tiles: When to Use Them
Wilds score zero, so where you put them matters more than any other placement.
-
The Trade: Your One Do-Over
After turn 19 you get one trade. Here's how to set it up and how to use it.

WyldTyle Glossary
Every term the game uses, from roll type to Wyld Pyle, defined in one place.
Where to start
If you have read How to Play and the strategy overview, the most valuable next step is Choosing Your Roll. Roll selection is the one decision that separates strong players from casual ones, and it rests on a single number: a full board needs about fourteen vowels, and the default roll gives you nineteen.
After that, Chasing the Wyld Pyle explains why finishing every word beats making any single word bigger, and Dice Odds tells you exactly how often each letter shows up so you know what to plan for and what to treat as a gift.
The word lists
The guides tell you how to think. The word lists give you the raw material: every two- and three-letter word, the highest scorers at each length, and the rescue lists for boards with too many vowels or too few.
