One challenge a day, and a bot named Tyler
Until now every WyldTyle game was its own roll of the dice, which made comparing scores a little unfair: a great board and a cruel one look the same on the leaderboard. From today there is one challenge a day that everyone plays on identical dice, and a bot named Tyler who plays it first so you always have someone to beat.
Three levels
The challenge is three short boards of three words each, played in order. Level 1 is a 3, 4 and 5-letter word in six turns, with hints. Level 2 is 4, 5 and 6 in eight turns, with hints. Level 3 is the same shape with no hints at all. Levels 1 and 2 end at a gate: make all three words or reach the minimum score, or your run ends there. Your points still count.
Tyler (the bot)
Tyler plays each day's run forty times before you do and posts his median score. He can't see the dice coming and never trades, so he is beatable, but not by accident. His number is on the home card, the leaderboard, and your finish screen.
Streaks and sharing
Finish a run every day and your streak grows; it shows on the home card, the finish screen, and your profile. When a run ends you can share it as a few lines of text and a link, with one square per level, and the link opens a page anyone can see, account or not.
Two twists a week
Wild Wednesday triples how often wild tiles roll. Long Friday doubles each level's longest word. The card tells you when one is on.
Everything else is unchanged. Solo games and multiplayer are exactly as they were, and the challenge card sits above them on the home page. The daily challenge guide has the details.
