WyldTyle on iPhone and Android
WyldTyle is now an app. It's on the App Store for iPhone and on Google Play for Android, free, and it's the same game as the website: same account, same daily challenge, same friends and history.
Notifications that say something
The apps can tell you when it's your turn in a match, when someone challenges you, when a friend request arrives or is accepted, and when a friend beats your high score. They carry the useful part in the message itself: whose move it was, the turn, and the score, rather than a bare "it's your turn".
There's one new kind too. If you have a daily streak going and haven't played today's challenge, you'll get a single reminder at 7pm your time. One, not a series, and only when the streak is actually at risk.
Every type can be switched off on its own under Profile › Settings, and the choices apply to every device you use.
Links open in the app
A shared result or a friend's challenge link opens straight in the app when you have it installed (on Android, from version 1.1.1), and in the browser when you don't. On a phone browser without the app, a small banner offers it; dismiss it and it stays away for a month.
If you play on the website, nothing changes. The site stays the full game, and anything you do in one shows up in the other.
